SALE ALTRINCHAM MESSENGER JANUARY 2013
SARAH BACKS FILLERS CAMPAIGN
Hale-based doctor Sarah Norman has added her support to the campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of dermal fillers being injected by unqualified individuals.
Dr Norman, who runs her own clinic in Altrincham, BrightNewMe, undertakes non-surgical cosmetic procedures, including the use of dermal fillers.
She said: “Dermal fillers are injected into the skin to smooth out unwanted lines, wrinkles, and indentations and can produce wonderful results.
Unlike Botox, which can only be administered after a prescription, fillers are not classified as a medication, and therefore can be purchased – and injected – by those with little or no training.
This recent investigation has exposed how non-medical attendees of a one-day training course are being encouraged to set up their own practice.”
Dr Norman urges patients to only seek this treatment from trained professionals.
