I was thrilled and honoured to be invited to a 2-day Masterclass in London in early March, hosted by Allergan, the manufacturers of Botox® and Juvederm® dermal fillers. I was especially lucky to be able to get there in the snow – 100 delegates (out of the 250 invited in the UK) had been unable to travel!

This is the 6th time I have seen Mauricio de Maio, a Brazilian plastic surgeon recognised as THE leading injector of dermal fillers in the world. Mauricio has pioneered injection procedures – having invented the 8-Point Face Lift and refined the technique each year. This year was an ‘Expression Masterclass’ where there was an emphasis on the multiple complex emotions expressed by the face. We looked at dynamic ageing, technical developments and treatment planning. Of all the conferences I go to, this event always stands out, and this year was no exception. I’ve come back feeling inspired and excited to offer the most up to date techniques to my patients, always observing safety as paramount, to achieve a natural, refreshed look WITH NO TELL TALE SIGNS.
